Ocupress Opht Side Effects
This medication may temporarily burn or sting your eyes for a minute or two when applied. Temporary eye redness/watering, blurred vision, or headache may also occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur:
- vision changes
- eye pain/sensitivity
- sensitivity to light
- persistent eye redness/itching/discharge
- mental/mood changes (e.g., depression)
- slow/irregular heartbeat
- shortness of breath
- dizziness
- fainting
- cold hands/feet
- chest pain
- tingling of the hands/feet
- persistent cough
- decreased sexual ability
Seek immediate medical attention if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur:
- weakness on one side of the body
- slurred speech
- seizures
- confusion
This drug may infrequently cause serious heart problems (e.g, heart failure). If you notice any of the following unlikely but very serious side effects, seek immediate medical attention:
- swelling of the ankles/feet
- unusual tiredness
- trouble breathing
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include:
- rash
- itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat)
- severe dizziness
- trouble breathing
