Klonopin Oral Uses
Clonazepam is used to treat seizure disorders and panic attacks. It belongs to a class of medications called benzodiazepines which act on the brain and nerves (central nervous system) to produce a calming effect. This drug works by enhancing the effects of a certain natural chemical in the body (GABA).
How To Use Klonopin Oral
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually 2 to 3 times a day. Since dosing recommendations may vary, carefully follow your doctor's directions for taking this medication.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. To reduce your risk for serious side effects, do not increase your dose, take it more frequently, or take it for a longer time than directed by your doctor.
Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to use it at the same times each day.
Do not suddenly stop using this drug without your doctor's approval. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is abruptly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.
When used for an extended period, this medication may not work as well and may require different dosing. Talk with your doctor if this medication stops working well.
