Haldol Inj
This medication may rarely cause a serious condition called neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS). Seek immediate medical attention if you develop any of the following symptoms: fever, muscle stiffness, severe confusion, increased sweating, fast/irregular heartbeat.
Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including:
- dark urine
- persistent nausea/vomiting
- stomach/abdominal pain
- yellowing of eyes/skin
- seizures
- signs of infection (such as fever, persistent sore throat)
Serious, even fatal heart problems may occur, especially when haloperidol is given by injection into a vein or in high doses. Get medical help right away if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur:
- slow/fast/irregular heartbeat
- severe dizziness
- chest pain
- fainting
A very severe allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but get medical help right away if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include:
- rash
- itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat)
- severe dizziness
- trouble breathing

Haldol Inj Precautions
Before using haloperidol, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
This medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have:
- a certain severe nervous system problem (severe CNS depression)
- Parkinson's disease
This medication should not be given to a patient who is unconscious.
