Pletal Oral

  • congestive heart failure
  • bleeding disorders (e.g., bleeding ulcers)


Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of:

  • other heart disease (e.g., recent heart attack, unstable angina, arrhythmias)
  • recent stroke
  • kidney disease
  • liver disease
  • certain blood disorders (thrombocytopenia or low platelet counts)


Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist that you are taking this medication.

This drug may make you dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires alertness until you are sure you can perform such activities safely. Limit alcoholic beverages.

This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

It is not known if this medication passes into breast milk. Because of the potential risk to a nursing infant, breast-feeding while using this medication is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
