Zetacet Top

Generic Name: SODIUM SULFACETAMIDE/SULFUR - TOPICAL
Pronounced: (sull-fuh-SEET-uh-mide/SULL-fur)

Zetacet Top Uses

This medication is used to treat several skin problems (acne, acne rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis). Sodium sulfacetamide belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfa antibiotics. It works by killing certain bacteria on the skin that can lead to acne. The sulfur in this product helps to remove dead skin and unclog pores.

How To Use Zetacet Top

Clean the area of skin with a mild cleanser and water and dry completely. Shake the container well before each use. Apply a thin film of the product to the areas of skin with acne, rosacea, or seborrhea, usually 1-3 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Keep this medication away from the eyes/lips/nostrils. Do not apply to areas of skin that are cracked or raw. Wash your hands with soap and water after each application.

Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.

Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same time(s) each day. Do not use more of this medication, use it more frequently, or keep using it for longer than prescribed. Your acne will not improve any faster, and your risk of side effects may be increased.

Inform your doctor if your acne does not improve after 1 month, or worsens.
