Pain-Gesic Oral Uses
This combination medication is used to treat mild pain (e.g.,
headache, backache, muscle pain, cold/flu aches and pains) and to
reduce fever. Acetaminophen helps to decrease the pain and fever.
Phenyltoloxamine is an antihistamine that helps to decrease
symptoms of a cold such as a runny nose.
How To Use Pain-Gesic Oral
Take this medication by mouth with or without food, usually
every 4 hours or as directed by your doctor. To make sure you have
the correct dose, measure the liquid medication with a
dose-measuring spoon or device, not a household spoon.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to
therapy. Pain medications work best if they are used as the first
signs of pain occur. If you wait until the symptoms have worsened,
the medication may not work as well.
This medication contains acetaminophen. Do not take more
acetaminophen than recommended. (See also Side Effects and
Precautions sections.)
Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. For
pain, do not take this product for more than 5 days for children
and 10 days for adults. For fever, do not take this product for
more than 3 days unless directed by your doctor.
