Brophed Oral Side Effects
Headache, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, irritability, anxiety and trouble sleeping may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor.
Notify your doctor if you develop:
- chest pain
- a rapid pulse
- palpitations
- skin rash
- high blood pressure
- dizziness
- flushing
- tremors
- nervousness
- difficulty urinating
Notify your doctor if breathing difficulty continues or becomes worse.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Brophed Oral Precautions
Tell your doctor if you have:
- kidney disease
- heart disease
- lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema)
- high blood pressure
- ulcers
- seizures
- glaucoma
- allergies (especially drug allergies)
This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Brophed Oral Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, including:
- blood pressure drugs
- antidepressants (especially fluvoxamine, an SSRI-type drug)
- sedatives
- tranquilizers
- sleeping pills
- birth control pills
- St John's wort
Smoking can reduce the effects of this medication. Inform your doctor if you smoke before taking this.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
