Kapectolin (bismuth subsalicy) Oral Overdose

If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US National Poison Hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canada residents can call a provincial poison control center. Symptoms of overdose may include: ringing ears, hearing loss.



Kapectolin (bismuth subsalicy) Oral Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

If your doctor prescribes this medication for you, do not share it with others.

If you are taking this medication for diarrhea, drink plenty of water to decrease the risk of a severe loss of body water (dehydration). Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.

Store at room temperature at 70 degrees F (21 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Avoid exposing to heat over 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). Protect liquid forms of this medication from freezing. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.
