Zofran IV Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US National Poison Hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canada residents can call a provincial poison control center. Symptoms of overdose may include: change in vision, severe dizziness, irregular heartbeat.
Zofran IV Missed Dose
It is important that the dose be given before cancer chemotherapy as directed. If you miss a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist to establish a new dose schedule. If you are using this medication on a regular schedule and you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Zofran IV Storage
Different brands/packaging of this medication may have different storage requirements. Read the package labeling or ask your pharmacist for the storage requirements for the product you are using. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Discard the medication if it has been frozen.
After mixing with the proper IV fluid, the solution should be discarded after 24 hours if stored at room temperature and 48 hours if refrigerated.
Any unused medication in the single-dose vials/syringes should be discarded after opening.
Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company for more details about how to safely discard your product.
