Agrylin Oral

Generic Name: ANAGRELIDE - ORAL
Pronounced: (an-AG-re-lide)

Agrylin Oral Side Effects

Headache, diarrhea, weakness, nausea, and dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.

Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur:

  • unusual bleeding/bruising
  • black stools
  • swelling of the ankles/feet
  • rapid/difficult breathing
  • fainting
  • stomach/abdominal pain
  • unusual tiredness
  • change in the amount of urine
  • pink/bloody urine
  • vomit that looks like coffee grounds


Seek immediate medical attention if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur:

  • chest/jaw/left arm pain
  • confusion/mental changes
  • fast/irregular/pounding heartbeat
  • slurred speech
  • vision changes
  • weakness on one side of the body


A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include:

  • rash
  • itching
  • swelling
  • severe dizziness
  • trouble breathing
