Dobutamine IV Uses

This medication is used short-term to treat a certain heart problem (failure to maintain adequate blood flow to all parts of the body) caused by the decreased pumping strength of the heart. It acts quickly to cause the heart to pump blood more effectively and therefore increase the blood flow from the heart.



How To Use Dobutamine IV

This medication is given by injection into a vein usually by a health care professional. Learn all preparation and usage instructions for this product. Follow all instructions for proper mixing with the correct IV fluids. Before using this product, check it visually for particles or discoloration. If either is present, do not use the liquid.
