Evoxac Oral

Generic Name: CEVIMELINE - ORAL
Pronounced: (seh-VIMM-eh-leen)

Evoxac Oral Uses

This medication is used to treat mouth dryness experienced by patients with Sjogrens syndrome. This condition is caused by an abnormal response by the body's defensive (immune) system against the moisture-producing glands of the body (e.g., saliva glands, tear-producing glands). Cevimeline belongs to a class of drugs known as cholinergic agonists. It works by increasing the actions of certain nerves that control saliva production in the mouth, increasing saliva.

How To Use Evoxac Oral

Take this medication by mouth with or without food, usually 3 times daily or as directed by your doctor.

Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.

Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day.

Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens (e.g., dry mouth symptoms remain unchanged or worsen after 2-4 weeks).
