Evoxac Oral Uses
This medication is used to treat mouth dryness experienced by patients with Sjogrens syndrome. This condition is caused by an abnormal response by the body's defensive (immune) system against the moisture-producing glands of the body (e.g., saliva glands, tear-producing glands). Cevimeline belongs to a class of drugs known as cholinergic agonists. It works by increasing the actions of certain nerves that control saliva production in the mouth, increasing saliva.
