Evoxac Oral Side Effects
Abnormal sweating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal/stomach pain, runny nose, and increased cough may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Notify your doctor if sweating is extreme. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids throughout the day to prevent dehydration.
Less common side effects may include an increase in certain types of infections (e.g., cough, fever, vaginal discharge/itching, earache, sinus pain, headache), eye pain, increased joint/bone aches, increased tiredness, gas, problems sleeping, flushing, constipation, heartburn, shakiness, blurred vision, swelling hands/feet, muscle aches, loss of appetite, increased urination, enlarged/swollen/painful lumps in the cheeks and under the tongue (saliva glands).
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur:
- chest pain
- fast/irregular heartbeat
- slow heartbeat
- muscle cramping
- mouth ulcers
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including:
- rash
- itching
- swelling
- severe dizziness
- trouble breathing
