Lyme Disease Vaccine IM Side Effects
Muscle/joint pain or pain/redness at injection site may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
Unlikely but report promptly:
- flu-like symptoms
- fever
- rash
Very unlikely but report promptly:
- severe headache
- muscle weakness
- tingling muscles in the hands/feet/face
An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include:
- rash
- itching
- swelling
- dizziness
- trouble breathing
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Lyme Disease Vaccine IM Precautions
Tell your doctor your medical history, including:
- any allergies
- blood clotting disorders
- previous Lyme disease
- arthritis
- immune deficiency
- heart disease
- recent illness
This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
It is not known whether this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Lyme Disease Vaccine IM Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially of:
- blood thinners (e.g., anticoagulants such as warfarin and heparins)
- other vaccines
- immune suppressants (e.g., cyclosporine)
This product can affect the results of certain lab tests. Make sure laboratory personnel and your doctors know you use this product.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
