Tannate 12D S Oral Side Effects

Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, blurred vision, trouble sleeping, and dryness of the nose and mouth may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor.

Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects:

  • difficulty urinating
  • mental/mood changes
  • fast/irregular heartbeat

An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include:

  • rash
  • itching
  • swelling
  • severe dizziness
  • trouble breathing

If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Tannate 12D S Oral Precautions

Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to tartrazine dye or aspirin ; or if you have any other allergies.

Tell your doctor your medical history, including:

  • high blood pressure
  • heart problems
  • thyroid disease
  • diabetes
  • glaucoma (narrow angle)
  • prostate conditions

This medication may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages.

Caution is advised when using this medication in the elderly, since they may be more sensitive to medication side effects.

This medication should not be used in newborns.

This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

This medication may pass into breast milk. Breast-feeding while using this medication is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Tannate 12D S Oral Drug Interactions

Your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.

Avoid taking MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within 2 weeks before or after treatment with this medication.
