Norpace Oral Interactions

Your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of:

  • certain calcium channel blockers (diltiazem and verapamil)


Many drugs besides disopyramide may affect the heart rhythm (QT prolongation), including amiodarone, dofetilide, flecainide, pimozide, procainamide, quinidine, sotalol, macrolide antibiotics (such as erythromycin), and certain quinolone antibiotics (such as sparfloxacin), among others. (See also Precautions section.)

Other medications can affect the removal of disopyramide from your body, which may affect how disopyramide works. Examples include phenobarbital, phenytoin, and rifampin, among others.
