Valergen 20 IM Interactions
Your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
This drug should not be used with the following medications because very serious interactions may occur:
- anastrozole
- exemestane
If you are currently using either of these medications listed above, tell your doctor or pharmacist before starting estrogens.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription products you may use, especially of:
- corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone)
- hydantoins (e.g., phenytoin)
- warfarin
Also tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any medications which affect certain liver enzymes (CYP450-3A4 enzymes), such as:
- azole antifungals (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole)
- carbamazepine
- cimetidine
- macrolide antibiotics (e.g., clarithromycin, erythromycin)
- phenobarbital
- rifamycins (e.g., rifampin)
- ritonavir
- St. John's wort
This product can affect the results of certain lab tests. Make sure laboratory personnel and your doctors know you use this drug.
