NIC 750 Oral Interactions
Your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of:
- certain antibiotics (e.g., chloramphenicol, quinolones such as ciprofloxacin/norfloxacin, tetracycline)
- certain anti-seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine, phenytoin, primidone)
- diabetes medications (e.g., insulin, glyburide, metformin)
- methotrexate
- penicillamine
- other vitamins/nutritional supplements
Folic acid may affect certain laboratory tests for vitamin B12 deficiency, resulting in false test results. Untreated vitamin B12 deficiency may result in serious nerve problems (e.g., peripheral neuropathy with numbness/tingling symptoms). Consult your doctor or pharmacist for details.
