Epinephrine (PF) Inj Interactions

Your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of:

  • anti-arrhythmic drugs (e.g., amiodarone, quinidine)
  • certain inhaled anesthetics (e.g., halothane, isoflurane)
  • diabetes medication (e.g., insulin, sulfonylureas such as glyburide)
  • digoxin
  • entacapone
  • ergot alkaloids (e.g., ergotamine)
  • MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine)
  • medication for high blood pressure (e.g., guanethidine, methyldopa, "water pills"/diuretics such as furosemide/hydrochlorothiazide, beta blockers such as propranolol)
  • other sympathomimetic drugs (e.g., ephedrine, isoproterenol)
  • phenothiazines (e.g., chlorpromazine)
  • thyroid hormones (e.g., levothyroxine)
  • tricyclic antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline, doxepin)
