Lexiva Oral Overdose

If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly.

Lexiva Oral Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is more than 4 hours after your scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. It is important not to miss doses of this drug.

Ask your doctor how you can lower your risk of heart disease (for example - weight loss, controlling high blood pressure, stop smoking).

Patients treated with fosamprenavir may continue to acquire "opportunistic" infections associated with HIV. This medication does not prevent the transmission of HIV to others through sexual contact or blood. Practice "safe sex" (including the use of latex condoms) to minimize the risk of transmitting the virus to others.

Do not share this medication with others.

Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., liver function, triglycerides/cholesterol, white blood cell counts-WBC, blood sugar) should be performed periodically to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Consult your doctor for more details.

Lexiva Oral Storage

Store the tablet form in a tightly closed container between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.

Store the liquid form in a tightly closed container between 41-86 degrees F (5-30 degrees C) away from light. Refrigeration may improve the taste of the liquid medication. Do not freeze.

Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.

Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company for more details about how to safely discard your product.
