Altex Oral Uses

Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylpropanolamine and phenylephrine are decongestants which help relieve nasal congestion. This combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How To Use Altex Oral

Take this medication by mouth.

If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk.

Take this medication as directed. Do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed.

It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
