Mucomyst-20 Misc Missed Dose

When inhaling this medication by mouth to thin mucus: if you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

When swallowing this medication by mouth for acetaminophen overdose or prevention of kidney problems: consult your doctor immediately if you miss a dose.

This medication may smell like rotten eggs. This effect is harmless and does not mean that the product has gone bad.

Mucomyst-20 Misc Storage

Store at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. After opening a vial, store at 35-46 degrees F (2-8 degrees C) and use within 96 hours (4 days). The solution may change to a light purple color, but it will continue to be safe and effective during this time. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.
