Chemet Oral

Generic Name: SUCCIMER - ORAL
Pronounced: (SUX-sim-er)

Chemet Oral Uses

This medication is used to treat lead poisoning. Succimer belongs to a class of drugs known as heavy metal chelating agents. It works by binding to the lead so that it may be removed by your kidneys. Removing lead from your body will lower the chance of severe problems due to lead poisoning.

Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medication.

Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Do not stop using this medication unless told to do so by your doctor.

The number of courses of treatment is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
