Sleep Aid (Dimenhydranate) Oral Uses
Doxylamine is an antihistamine used as a sleep aid. It is also used in combination products for cough and cold symptoms. This medication works by blocking certain natural substances (histamine, acetylcholine) that your body makes. This causes drowsiness and also helps to relieve cold symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, and sneezing.
