Acabak Oral

Generic Name: METHOCARBAMOL - ORAL
Pronounced: (meth-oh-KAR-ba-mole)

Acabak Oral Side Effects

Stomach upset, nausea, flushing, constipation, headache, blurred vision, lightheadedness, dizziness or drowsiness may occur during the first few days as your body adjusts to this medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur:

  • fast/slow heartbeat
  • fainting
  • yellowing eyes or skin
  • persistent nausea/vomiting
  • stomach/abdominal pain
  • mental/mood changes
  • clumsiness
  • trouble urinating
  • signs of infection (e.g., persistent sore throat, fever)


This medication may cause your urine to turn green-black in color. This harmless effect is temporary and will disappear when the medication is stopped.

A serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include:

  • rash
  • itching
  • swelling
  • severe dizziness
  • trouble breathing
