CVS Goldenseal Oral Side Effects

Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur:

• persistent headache
• easy bruising/bleeding

Tell your doctor immediately if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur:

• nausea
• vomiting
• severe stomach/abdominal pain
• mental/mood changes (e.g., nervousness, depression)

This product contains a substance called berberine, which can lower your blood sugar. Tell your doctor immediately if you have symptoms of low blood sugar, including cold sweat, blurred vision, dizziness, shaking, fast heartbeat, tingling hands/feet.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including:

• rash
• itching
• swelling
• severe dizziness
• trouble breathing
