Cladribine IV Uses

Cladribine is used to treat a certain type of cancer (hairy cell leukemia). It works by stopping the growth of cancer cells.

How To Use Cladribine IV

This medication is given by injection into a vein by a health care professional. Follow all instructions for proper mixing with the correct IV fluid. Do not mix cladribine with other medications in the same solution or give together in the same IV line. Before using, check this product visually for particles or discoloration. If discoloration is present, do not use the liquid. A few particles may occur if the medication is exposed to low temperatures. To dissolve the particles, shake the medication well or let it warm naturally to room temperature. Do not heat or microwave the medication. If you have any questions about the preparation or use of this medication, consult your pharmacist.



Dosage is based on your weight and response to treatment. This medication is usually given continuously for 7 days in a row or as directed by your doctor.

Use care when preparing or giving this medication. Avoid getting the medication on the skin or in the eyes, mouth, or nose. If you do get the medication in those areas, flush with plenty of water and tell your doctor immediately.
