Symptoms of overdose can occur at usual prescribed dosages of theophylline. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: agitation, nausea, frequent vomiting, trouble sleeping, unusual thirst, fever, ringing in the ears, seeing flashes of light, fast/irregular heartbeat, seizures, confusion, chest pain.
