Tilade Inhl

Generic Name: NEDOCROMIL INHALATION - ORAL
Pronounced: (neh-DOCK-row-mill)

Tilade Inhl Uses

Nedocromil is used alone or with other medications to prevent symptoms (wheezing, cough, and shortness of breath) caused by asthma. It is used in patients who have breathing symptoms at least twice weekly (mild to moderate persistent asthma). It is also used to prevent wheezing and shortness of breath caused by exercise, cold/dry/polluted air, or allergens such as pollen. Nedocromil works by preventing the release of certain natural substances (e.g., histamines, leukotrienes) that may cause swelling of the airways and breathing problems.

This medication must be taken regularly to be effective. It does not work immediately and should not be used to relieve sudden asthma attacks. If an asthma attack occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler as prescribed.

How To Use Tilade Inhl

Read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using nedocromil and each time you get a refill. Read the directions provided by the manufacturer on the correct use of this device. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Shake the canister well before using. Inhale this medication by mouth, usually 4 times daily in evenly spaced doses (e.g., every 4-6 hours except during nighttime sleep) or as directed by your doctor. Follow the package directions for priming the inhaler before the first use and if the inhaler has not been used for 7 days. Avoid spraying the medication in your eyes. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to show you the proper way to use an inhaler.

Learn all preparation and usage instructions in the product package, including cleaning instructions. If any of the information is unclear, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If 2 inhalations of this medication are prescribed, wait at least 1 minute between them. If you are using other inhalers at the same time, contact your doctor regarding how to take these medications with this inhaler. Wait several minutes between each medication, and if you are using a corticosteroid inhaler, use it last.
