Store at room temperature; avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures. The medication expires after 18 months.

Why should Cortisporin-TC Otic not be prescribed?
Return to topYou should not take this drug if you have had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients, or if you suffer from herpes simplex, vaccinia (cowpox), or varicella (chickenpox).
Special warnings about Cortisporin-TC Otic
Return to topLong-term use of Cortisporin-TC can lead to permanent hearing loss. Therefore, treatment should not continue for more than 10 days.
If an allergic reaction occurs, you should stop using the medication immediately. Your doctor may also recommend that future treatment with kanamycin, paromomycin, streptomycin, and possibly gentamicin be avoided, since you may also be allergic to these medications.
Use the medication with care if you have a perforated eardrum or chronic otitis media (inflammation and infection of the middle ear).

Recommended dosage for Cortisporin-TC Otic
Return to topThis medication should not be used for longer than 10 days.
ADULTS
The usual dose is 5 drops (when using the supplied measured dropper) or 4 drops (when using the dropper-bottle container) in the affected ear, 3 or 4 times daily.
INFANTS AND CHILDREN
The usual dose is 4 drops (when using the supplied measured dropper) or 3 drops (when using the dropper-bottle container) in the affected ear 3 or 4 times daily.
Overdosage
Return to topAlthough no specific information is available, any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical treatment immediately.
