Return to topThe effects of Loprox during pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. It is not known whether this drug appears in breast milk. If this medication is essential to your health, your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding your baby until your treatment is finished.

Gently massage Loprox into the affected and surrounding skin areas 2 times a day, in the morning and evening. For most infections, improvement usually begins within the first week of treatment. People with tinea versicolor usually show signs of improvement after 2 weeks of treatment.
CHILDREN
Safety and effectiveness of the cream, lotion, and solution have not been established in children under 10 years of age (16 for the gel).
Overdosage
Return to topAny medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical treatment immediately.
