Monistat

Overview

  • About Monistat

If the infection fails to improve or worsens within 3 days, or you do not obtain complete relief within 7 days, or symptoms return within two months, you may have something other than a yeast infection.

Possible food and drug interactions when taking Monistat

No interactions have been reported.

Special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

Unless you are directed to do so by your doctor, do not use Monistat during the first trimester (three months) of pregnancy because it is absorbed in small amounts from the vagina. It is not known whether miconazole appears in breast milk. If Monistat is essential to your health, your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding until your treatment with Monistat is finished.
