If your child's kidneys are not functioning properly, your doctor will adjust the dosage.
PEPCID AC AND PEPCID COMPLETE
Do not give Pepcid AC or Pepcid Complete to children under 12 years old unless your doctor approves. Swallow tablets or gelcaps with a glass of water. Chew the chewable tablets completely; do not swallow them whole. Do not take more than 2 pills a day or take them for longer than 2 weeks unless your doctor approves.
For Prevention of Heartburn Symptoms
Pepcid AC : Take 1 tablet or gelcap with a glass of water 15 to 60 minutes before eating food or drinking beverages that could cause heartburn.
For Relief of Heartburn Symptoms
Pepcid AC : Take 1 tablet or gelcap with a glass of water.
Pepcid Complete : Chew 1 tablet completely before swallowing.
Overdosage
